Title: Worst dealership experience ever
Post by: Shrek1493 on December 06, 2018, 07:31:54 pm
I have had the worse 6 weeks of driving a loan car supplied by VW WEST LONDON.

I took my 08 plate GTI in for some warranty work, Steering rack, door lock carrier, Thermostat , heated rear window and to have the wheels refurbished as they were not completed to a  satisfactory level.

After six weeks of constant called and chasing up of how the car is doing I finally have it back and still have issues with the wheels as still have paint runs and dirty behind the paint.

Angry is not the right term to put fir this.

Can anyone suggest what arguments I could put to the garage. I will never use them again it just they hadn’t completed the service properly from when I purchased the car.

I just wanted to drive the car through the showroom and leave it.

take the car back and show the service manager the wheels and go from there

time for an email to vw customer services.

I agree best option.

Contact VW UK and complain about the standard of work.

I had similar issues with one of their West London dealers who managed to screw up a small paint job no fewer than 3 times. Complained to VW UK however the dealer told them a pack of lies and the case got closed. Given that money talks, I would recommend lodging a complaint with your credit card company if you have used that to pay.

Apparently the wheels have been done by an outside company that they use all the time.

I have spoken to one of the managers who we be talking to the the general manager of how to resolve this and hopefully get a phone call back Monday. I have said that I will take it to a company near me that I have used before and will get the job done right the first time and they can pay the bill. Also asked for another years extended warranty.
