tried a lot of products but cannot seem to find a tyre shine that lasts over a week? recommendations pleas??
preferably not the spray ones as they end up going everywhere lol
-
I find the Meguiars good.

I find the Meguiars good.
+1 :happy2:
Just avoid overloading it else it also has a tendency to spatter!
-
just bought it and very shiny thanks ! :signLOL:
-
Concept contour is fantastic but hard to get
Gives a long lasting wet look
-
I really like the gtechniq T1. gives a nice satin finish instead of the wet super glossy look of others.

Another vote for Meguiars :happy2:
-
Bouncers Dress to Impress. :happy2: Really good stuff that will also will do Plastic external trims aswell as internal plastics and of Tyres walls.
Meguires is rubbish, messy and an oil splatter mess after a drive.
Used to use it all the time till I've used other products.
For a wet more natural look then Zaino Z16 is another good product.
-
I've tried a number of different ones in the past but if I was you i'd be going for zaino z16 :happy2:

Meguiars Endurance is very good and long lasting just dont overload it otherwise it does sling everywhere
-
Waxaddict feeder tyre conditioner, doesn't sling either
-
Are you after a spray application or gel?
I prefer the gel, find it easier to apply and keep it contained to the tyres. Sometimes a spray can drip over the wheels and even hit the paint.
Meguires endurance is a good mention. My go to at the moment is Juicy Details Iced Apple Tyre Gel. Great finish and smells good. Its abit thicker than the meguires so easier to apply without it dripping off the applicator.
Let us know what you end up getting :)
-
Another vote here for Gtechniq T1 Tyre and Trim. Wasn't fussed at the start, but if you put it on right, it's great. Also have used AMMO Mud, giving similar results - very little or no sling from both
-
I like using chemicalguys VPR dress. The effect can last up to 2 weeks.
-
Best thing to do with megs is after you apply it say 20mins use a old cloth to give the tyre a wipe, no sling then.
Best one I've used is valet pros black to the future love the finish it leaves on the tyres and can be used on black trim etc nice beading too :happy2:

You have to narrow down what you like.
Matt/Satin/Gloss finishes? Water / Oil based.
Once you have decided what you like then it may be easier for us to answer you.
I prefer a glossy dressing, so my current dressing for tyres is either megs endurance or sonax extreme.
if you Matt / Satin tyres, give infinity wax rubber wax a go. You can use Matt20 to get 20% discount, I dont benefit from this btw.
-
I use Waxaddict Tyre feeder conditioner, you can make it matt or gloss, lasts 2-3 or so weeks and doesn't sling up the car
-
Britemax RubberMax, no sling and not too glossy either.

+1 for Gtechniq T1. It's long lasting and versatile in that you can choose to have a satin or gloss finish. One application for satin; wait 10 or so minutes and reapply for gloss finish. I've never had any sling with Gtechniq T1.

Poorboy's tyre shine works well
-
Tried a few, but keep going back to Maguiars endurance
-
I find the Meguiars good.
+1 meguiars gel smells good too.
-
Carbon collective sateen.
Highly hydrophobic with a nice semi mat look..
You can trim your unpainted plastic parts as well. It’s a nice product as it gives similar effects to wax on paint.

Formula 1 tyres appear to come with a nice glossy sidewall finish that lasts a whole race. I wonder why road tyre makers haven't come up with a some kind of coating that stays shiny?

Look up Soft99 Tyre Wax, probably the closest you'll get for a long term original look finish

What degreaser do you lot use?

Gunk Engine Degreaser / Autofinesse All Purpose Cleaner / Fairy Liquid (For Moss), depending on what it's for

Ahh didn't realise there'd be so many degreasing purposes! Just for my tyres - I've got some Gtechniq T2 tyre dressing to go on but didn't want to waste it easily.

Oh for cleaning rubber, I use Adam's Tyre and Rubber Cleaner does a far better job just use it sparingly as it's stupidly expensive

Meg’s endurance gel for me
