Keep winding the bolt in and out with lots of penetrating oil in between each attempt.  Everyone loves a good bit of penetration eh?

The problem is the exposed portion of the bolt gets crusted up and binds in the threads when you undo it.   Just be careful you don't snap the bolt as that will seriously ruin your day.

Failing that, a good bit heat always works.

£350 I think.  AKS Tuning did mine and I know what your next question will be.  To which my answer is - no, I didn't notice any difference afterwards

Nothing to do with their workmanship, which was top notch, it's just that carboned up valves is not that big a deal on these engine

Good work!  Typical bad timing........I threw out my set of winter wheels/tyres last week

Having said that, the 'up to' 25mph EDL traction control isn't bad on the MK5.  My old Corrado used to just sit there spinning and not going anywhere with the slightest dab of throttle.  I wonder if the MK6 ABS system can be retrofitted as that allows EDL at higher road spee

I've tried the VWR and Revo intakes.  Both noisy.   I'm not a big fan of all the noise either.  I am working on some ideas.  Either boxing in the Revo cone with some automotive grade acoustic foam (water, fuel, oil and fire resistant obviously) or throwing the cone in the bin and fitting a BMC enclosed can on the end.  I've used them in the past to good effect and they are quiet.

Got them both done now,I am thinking about changing my projector ones to led,as they don’t offer that much light really and the projector bit is proud and rubs on the door plastic
