Title: OEM MK5 GTI Exhaust?

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum but have been an owner of a MK5 Golf GTI for the last three years.

My questions is does anyone know where to source an OEM exhaust? online all I seem to find are aftermarket stainless steel systems which are superior to stock I understand but I am looking to keep my car original.

I phoned my local VW dealer and they don't stock them anymore... which I find hard to believe.

You could try BCS. Lots of mk5s go there to have SS exhausts put on and probably leave their original behind. I think the guy that runs it is on here sometimes, someone else will have more info i expect!

VW are only obligated to stock spare parts for 10 years, so I can quite believe they don't make exhausts for these cars anymore.

I had an OEM exhaust (downpipe/catalytic converter assembly) reserved at BCS as I thought I might need it to fix an issue. Seems another was sourced by R-Tech who have been sorting my car out so I'll be letting BCS know I don't need it once I've verified my car is healthy again tomorrow pm. So if this is the part you needed BCS will have one going spare on Wednesday! :)
