Hi all
I'm looking to pick up an RNS510 to fit to me ED30.
Ultimately I would like to also take phone calls / bluetooth spotify from my phone, and eventually fit a highline dash to pair bluetooth devices etc.
Am I to assume that I need the below to achieve all this?
RNS510
Bluetooth Kit
Highline dash
Multi function streering wheel
Cheers!

Yeah, thats true pal. I've got bluetooth kit and 510 for sale.

Hello mate.
How did you fit the Bluetooth kit, and will that work with MK6 steering wheel (flat bottom)?
You mention in your Advert it doesn't work with red clocks?

What did you mean how did I fit? Just fitted :signLOL: It works with mk6 wheel, but not with red clocks.

Add a PolarFIS Advanced or a PolarBT module and the BT menu will show in the red screen cluster just like it does on the mk6 clusters.

So which is the best way to go? Mk5 or mk6 wheel?
If I can get a mk6 wheel and everything works with highline red clocks that's fine - I hear that the left two buttons don't work on the mk6 wheel in the mk5 golf?
If I go for a mk5 gti wheel then to get working the bluetooth kit I need a Polar module?
How do you lads establish what parts / no's and so forth will work and that? Seems like a minefield.

The mk5 wheel works with the BT kit with a PolarFIS or PolarBT module.

You can get one from AKS Tuning.

Looks like a fantastic product, thanks for the link.
Did you mean the MK6 wheel? The left and right buttons don't work on the left hand side at all (RNS510?)
Because as far as I'm aware a MK5 wheel works with a set of highline clocks and steering wheel control module. (From reading / research)

I meant the mk5 wheel. It's what I have with an RNS-510 (fitted from the factory and upgraded to a newer revision) and a 7P6 BT kit (upgraded the factory fitted one) so I could connect my iPhone and have BT-audio streaming. I already had and loved a PolarFIS Advanced on my first diesel Golf mk5, so I bought another module for my Ed. 30 too.

Cheers pal.
I think i'll go for a MK5 wheel, updated Steering Module and get that coded.
Out of interest is it the Polar that allows the BT streaming not the other parts?

The BT kit itself has the streaming capabilities or not. The PolarFIS module just makes the newer BT kits compatible with red clusters of our mk5.

Cheers, that makes sense. thanks!
