I would do everything especially if the car has not had a Service for 27000 Miles?

Should be serviced every 10K Maximum but I would be doing my Oil every 5K and then every 10K change the Plugs and other Filters.

I would also give the Cam Follower a checkover too with that mileage, if it looks scorched or deformed then it would need replacing. Do this before it caves in completely otherwise you'll be looking at an expensive fix - prevention is better than cure!

Mine has also just turned 107K and VW have emailed to say it needs a full service.  Cam followers, incremental oil changes and other maintenance I do myself throughout the year.

The cam follower isn't a serviceable part, and neither is the cam chain.... but we enthusiasts know different, and VW sell the parts to replace them  :stupid:  I reckon the bureaucracy in car making world is insane!
