Title: Which brand rear springs?
Post by: Rado16v on December 03, 2018, 09:49:47 am
One of the rear coil springs is broken on my ed30. It has standard suspension and I'll be leaving it standard.

Should I stick with genuine VW springs at £85 a spring or go for Bilstein, Sachs, Eibach or other?

Thanks

Sachs are the OEM supplier I believe so going with them should be ok.

x2 on the Sachs if you want to stay standard

Thank you for your replies. I'd nornally always sitck with genuine parts but if they have failed after just 75k miles I don't think much of their quality.

Genuine springs are coming in at £85 each and Sachs are £40 each.

I’m the same, genuine when possible but sometimes you have to weigh up the pros and cons with certain parts! Half the price for Sachs is a no brainier imo
