Any experience this? seems like my original halogens were a lot better than these as I cant see that much of the road.
Considering getting a set of genuine R32 headlights ££££

What bulbs did you use?

As far as I understand it:
Halogen bulbs in Depos: crap
Halogen bulbs in OEM standard GTI headlights: Better
HIDs in Depos: Better still
OEM Xenons: Best
There are other options for Depos, like LED bulbs, which are apparently better than HIDs, but the bottom line is halogen bulbs in Depos (if that's what you're doing) is a no no.

I found them a bit tame initially too. There's info in there regarding improving the projector lenses to increase the output. Changing to bulbs closer to 4k might help too.

I recommend led bulbs for the depo projector lamps as I've used hid kits and they're okay for a few weeks and then start to fade away so are rubbish imho
Now I have leds which work fantastic with no waiting time for them to come on.

Yeah that’s probably a good start. I’ll change my bulb temperature.
Another annoying thing is that they project two big circle like shadows on the road !

Remember reading when I was looking at buying projector headlights that the depo lights had poor beam image and people was talking about the 6 o'clock mod. Think it's to do with the position the bulbs are fitted so you just cut a bit out and reposition the bulb. I ended up buying hella lights from Germany for about £300 and fitted hid kit, light output and beam image is bang on.
