Valve spring float FIXED!

<< < (2/3) > >>

Tfsi_Mike:

Happy days. Makes me want to get mine checked!

Hi there, Great write up.. Was just wondering if you have the correct part number for the valve springs? Struggling to find them.

Thanks

James

Funny this has re-surfaced. While my engine is in bits Alex has fitted the better valve springs to mine too.

I didn't really get the symptoms described before though and I'm at stage2+

Good stuff!

Can you feel the misfire on your butt dyno?  My Ed30 is a 2007 and has been mapped but mine doesn't misfire past 6500rpm.   I will defo do the springs if it's ever in bits though.

I think it mainly affects cars built around 2007/8 that are fitted with the shorter Valve Springs and are running Stage 1 Maps but that still retain the Standard Downpipe.  :happy2:
