So Im not big on running a nice car through winter at all as I bought the Golf as a toy to enjoy and tbh I dont enjoy the car in winter weather; no traction, grit, muck, hassle etc. So I have been looking out for a cheap mk3 to run me through the winter  :xmassmiley:

Ever since school Ive always wanted a mk3 GTi, I can remember sitting in class drawing them with my mates

Ok so their not the most desirable Golf compared against the mk1's and 2's but are relatively cheap to get a gudden unlike the m1's and 2's. I came across a real gem for not a lot at all.

I found a mk3 GTi 8v 20th Anniversary in satin silver, with no tax or test, went up and had a look with a guy I know in the trade and we had a good look around it and everything was spot on, I gave the guy £900 and that was that. I put it straight through a test without laying a finger on it to which all it failed on was a nearside track rod end.

Got that sorted and put it through a re-test which it passed  :happy2:

Anyway here it is after a very good clean:

And today it looks like this

looks like a good one mate. I got my brother in law one a few months back an ani version 2.0 16v and its a nice thing but i told him to get the belts changed after i did a quick service on it and he said he would do but he left it and they snapped and took the engine with it  :rolleye: i bloody told him 5 or 6 times to do it so now its been redone and should be ready for him to run soon

T88OMM:
That looks ace Dan, better than that Saxo you had
