I'm uploading the required file now and will share link when done.

Quite pleased with it as 2016 isn't even officially available direct from Kenwood yet (I used the unlocked map file from a more recent head unit).

Basically, as long as you have completed the 2015 update process in this thread you can just replace the gmapsupp.img file on your SD and BOOM 2016 maps.

Also if your SD card is big enough you can re-name your existing file to gmapsup1.img and you can have both installed and change between them if you like (I just left it on in case in issue with 2016 maps).

I have the 2011 maps on the Head Unit and 2015 maps on my memory card.
I will move the 2016 maps to the HU and keep the 2015 maps on the card for a while to ensure no issues.

wicked mate thanks downloaded it now :-) yay for central london internet speed lol

replace the gmapsupp.img file on the existing map file?
so for me as i want to update my HU i'll need to overwrite the 2011 maps on the HU and then copy this 2016 file to that.

I'm not sure about the Hu maps. I just replaced the SD one.
