Give Nige a call at least while you're looking around. He'll sort you a good forum price, and the Powervalve cat backs are 3". Perfect accompaniment to your downpipe! He'll make sure you get the right connector, and you'll get excellent support if you need it after the sale. Not to mention the quality of the materials and the fit.

I'm honestly not on commission by the way, but if he offered me a job....

Haha. I think you've got the job mate  :happy2: I'll get in contact soon.

I'ts been struggling on cold starts recently, cranking between 7-10 times before it fires which is strange. So I'm kind of hoping that it's the hpfp and that buying the loba will kill 2 birds with one stone. Fingers crossed

Can you hear the pump priming when you open the driver's door?

Good point. No I can't, tried a few different times too.

Haven't changed the Sparks plugs, they were done last August at VW and I have done about 2000 miles since, I was hoping to rule that out straight away

It's not very loud. It's a high-ish pitched whirring noise.

If you definitely can't hear it, do your interior lights come on when you open the door?

I'll keep having a listen out for it, but I couldn't hear it at all. Interior lights don't come on no. Then again I had this problem before with my old tdi, where I had to sort out the contacts in the interior light unit.

I might be wrong, but I think it's the same switch in the door that turns your interior lights on that tells your fuel system to prime.

If it's not getting that signal, it'll struggle to get up to pressure when it's cold. Especially if it's been sat overnight.

That's probably a better case scenario than the actual pump being faulty! Get it checked out.

I've had a Google. If it's the door switch I should be getting a whole other bunch of issues too, auto lights, alarm, anti theft locks not kicking in etc. I'm not having any of them problems. I'll keep listening out for the fuel pump, but it's parked up until Sunday now unfortunately! I need to get it scanned again, just to see if anything has flagged up

Not much to update! Helix clutch going on next weekend which is much needed. It had a full 2 stage detail a couple of weeks ago finished off with CQuartz UK. Paint work was really bad so it looks so much better. Actually red again. Also fitted a 300mm OMP quick release steering wheel, mainly for security reasons as its parked up for weeks on end.

Good stuff. I've got the Helix myself. It's very good, deals with the 345lb/ft I'm currently putting through it without even the slightest hint of slip. Acts like stock, just with a heavier pedal. Unless you've got weak legs you'll be used to it within 30 miles of driving!

Yeah I quite like the feel of a heavier clutch so I'm looking forward to that!
