Brake upgrade help
bluo:
Save once and buy once mate - I did the r32 setup and loved how good they were in comparison to the std setup but I did some other mods which meant I felt less comfortable and ended up upgrading the brakes to give me more confidence- I highly recommend AP racing brakes. Prices but worth it!

Seconded for AP. I came the same way, through S3 fronts. Car and I out grew them on track and I have 6 pot AP's with floating rotors. Staggeringly good brakes whose residual value should they be removed is high. They'll also upgrade newer vehicles such Mk7 Golf R etc. Road only use I'd suggest a neat light weight 4 pot kit from them. If cost is an issue then the S3 kit front and rear is a very good upgrade, particularly if you won't be doing track days. On the road they are easily good enough for 350bhp with the right pads and fluid.

Are 340mm TTS discs the better option over the 345mm?

I've replaced 345 mm ATE (12 kg) with 340 mm TTS Brembo Sport (10,1 kg). Same brake power, but less weight. Enough to be noticeable. Noticed right away a lighter steering (placebo effect maybe?).

Thanks Shoduchi, I presume these are the ones you had? http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Audi_TT+Coupe_2.0_2009/p/car-parts/brakes/brake-friction/brake-disc/?10444820A&1&e7d6f9db682686d4cf1d8ab5c1bd9d6341a06307&000027
