Integrated Engineering Intake Manifold

Have you guys seen this? -  http://www.performancebyie.com/ie-2-0t-fsi-tsi-tfsi-intake-manifold-ea113-ea888-gen1-gen2

Gains from this intake are 31lbft and 20whp on a K04 engine.  Seems to be well engineered and a good way to shift the pesky flaps, and do a decoke whilst you're in there!

Not cheap, but then the good stuff rarely is.  I wonder if we could get 10 or so sent over as a GB?

Paradox1:
Looks like a decent bit of kit. Remember there is the import duty tax too!

FOr k04 I wouldn't bother.  If the head was built on a big turbo then yeah why not

pudding:
Yeah there is, I've imported bits from Americanland quite a few times over the years.  3% duty on car parts, plus the 20% VAT of course.

Unlike a lot of tuners over there, they seem like a very knowledgable and honest bunch.  Not many go to the trouble of enlarging the plenum and even fewer use proper velocity stacks.  They both take a shed load of work on CAD & flow benching to match to the engine properly.

I was concerned the bigger bore intake runners & deletion of the flaps would kill the bottom end torque, but it would appear to make more power and torque everywhere.  I would entertain one if a load of us split the costs on importing some, but it's too much for a single purchase on a whim!

here is one by HPA

pudding:
Looks nice.  HPA make some good sh*t.  Only concern with that one is they say "Significant gains after 3000rpm".  That kind of implies it does blunt the bottom end performance, which I wouldn't want to lose in a daily driver.  K04 TFSIs are gutless enough as it is below 3k!

The Integrated one has a meth port per cylinder as well, which I guess could be drilled out to take petrol injectors for keeping the valves clean.
