High performance disc's and pad's
KieranED30:
Hi all I have been looking for a while and can't seem to find a answer that suits me, I have an edition 30 on standard brakes ie 312mm front and 288mm rear, I am after finding out, what are the BEST possible discs and pads?
Preferably I would like drilled and grooved discs, so far I have seen BREMBO drilled and grooved discs that I like and also EBC YELLOW STUFF brake pads, any recommendations or advice please reply :happy2:

GROOVED discs or J Hook discs.
Drilled are bad and will just crack.
Awesome are selling the Vagbremtechnic 312mm J Hook discs.
They are hideously expensive for a 312mm disc at £160 but hey.
Pad choice isn't the best on the 312mm caliper.
I'd go for DS2500 over the EBC pads which aren't that good. I used to use them back in the days on the bikes and wasn't ever that happy.

I'm running the Tarox sport japan style in the 345mm with the Tarox strada pads. Very pleased with them :happy2:

Don't mean to butt in, but I'm looking at a brake upgrade as my next "big mod" as well. I was originally thinking of going the r32/s3 route but I saw this post and I'm interested if it will make much of a difference over the standard brakes? As I don't track my car and just looking for abit of extra bite and confidence when braking hard.
If I could keep the standard calipers with just uprated pads and discs and still get what I'm looking for then id proberly go this route as would be cheaper than a full brake swap etc
Cheers
