RNS-315, what's needed?
« on: November 19, 2015, 05:21:48 pm »
Looking into an rns 315 for my golf, it currently has no bluetooth, no gps, no mic.
So my question is, the 315 has integrated BT am I right? So I'll need a gps aerial & a mic to install one on an 2006 GTI?
When I search for the 315 mic it comes up with a BT mic so now I'm getting confused as to what I need for a total install!

Also, is a 315 a good way to go? I want an OE looking radio, with sat nav & a good BT setup for hands free calls/music streaming.
I'm not convinced by the android systems, I think they would irritate me as I'm an apple fanboi!

There is different version of 315, not all has BT integrated. I could supply you RNS315 with BT and DAB aswell.

How difficult is it to tie the mic? Is it an OE one which goes overhead?

there is some work to do, just search on google, you will find the pictures how to do it. Yeap, it goes overhead.
