Accelerating smoother or loss of power?

Hi there,

Been reading through the forums since I got my 06 golf gti last month. Decided to change my DV and Cam follower.
Did them both today and afterwards I went for a drive. Let it warm up before anything mad. Then started trying  it out, I don't know whether I have lost power or whether the engine is just running smoother than it was on harder acceleration. I used to be able to feel the turbo kick in but now it seems more gradual?

Also I changed my DV to revision G.
Sorry if this is vague?
