Hi, you do not have to remove complete bumper.

Just remove centre grill. all the screws under the arch x 4. three are 5-6 t25 torx screws underneath and you can pull the bumper away and wiggle the light out although a little tricky but can be done. 10 minute job as I did it the other day but took me 20 minutes as I wanted a look behind the bumper as I have an FMIC I'd like to fit on.

heres a link to help you  :happy2:

Good luck

10 min job? you are joking mate

r5gtt:
No I am not joking as I used a baby cordless with 2 torx bits and 1 philips driver without a ramp jack etc. one side can easily be taken out.
Sorry I meant to take one side of the bumper off and light out only.

They are really easy to remove. I can remove a bumper on a mk5 in 5 mins :jumpmove:

I do work in a bodyshop and have removed loads though, and have access to a ramp  :signLOL:

[/quote]I used to remove my tt mk1 bumper in 15 minutes and it has over 26 torx and two 10 mm nuts behind the arch trims.

It's piss easy to remove a gti bumper even without a ramp  in comparison to the tt :happy2:
