@LC5F  Thanks for the info👍🏻

The oilpump I ordered has allready the oil presure relieve inside the oilpump and needs NO driling!! Ordered @ MIK Motoren in Germany I looked it up on their site and it looks quality stuff…
Now you’re right about oil & vibration!! More oil is better but vibration means more nock on the pistons also! So it’s a good idea to retune the engine after this setup.
Had a long and very informative conversation with a very nice chap who has a lot of engine nolidge👍🏻
I’ll see how it develops…

Anyway…. It’s good to be back “schraubing” on the vdub :wink:

@RBS  - Thank you for the information on the kit from MIK Morten https://mikmotoren.de/products/olpumpe-update-ea113?_pos=12&_sid=f5cd350ff&_ss=r
First impression was very expensive, but after watching the you tube video despite having minimal German it seems to be worth the money.
The chain retains the existing TFSI pulley, split chain also means you don't have to remove the timing belt, reduced pulley on the pump changes the oil pressure and the stand off to avoid blocking the oil return is simple but genius!

I saw that video a while ago, and it makes a lot of sense.  The oil pressure gains over the stock unit are impressive.  I don't know how the EA113 even runs with the crappy amount of pressure it dishes out at low rpms.  Having said that, maybe it's not an engine that NEEDS lots of pressure?  Nissan GTR guys who fit uprated oil pumps end up flooding the cylinder head with too much oil.  Hope that isn't the case here.

@ Pudding
I’ve ordered the kit a while ago… still waiting to receive it :sad1: hope to get it in the following weeks…
I’ll let you guys know more when I get it :happy2:
So far I know, nobody has mounted this kit?? The company MIK Motoren has mounted and sold hundreds of those kits mainly in Germany… Here in Belgium, nobody has it!?
Most kits are from Bartek but they need to be drilled & threded…
I guess I’ll be the mule  :wink: and give my thoughts about it :happy2:

Potpourri and car parts don't usually mix!
Either your other half is out - or very understanding

I am looking forward to hearing about this kit getting installed.
Also, the tube your oil cap mounts on is able to be removed... to reveal a lower oil cap thread - this is mine ripped off:

Looks so much better.

@LC5F 😁😁 your 1st gues was right :happy2:

And the tube will stay! Have some plans for the engine cover… involves Carbon… but
I’m working on that too 😁
