Well, i'm not sure there's interest in this one here as neither the car nor the engine is relevant for the mk 5 platform.
But i want to show off the replacement for my special and much loved mk5 GTI.

I had to think long and hard over what precisely i wanted so i kept the things i loved by the mk5 GTI and also got the things that i felt i missed in the long run. I loved the 2,0 TFSI engine but was ready to try the newer version, grip was an issue in the golf at nearly 500bhp. Also i'm not gotten younger and my experience on the DSG told me it would be able to handle what power levels i had planned for this one.
The obvious choice was an S3, but 3 reasons for me not to chose one was the very high price on one here in Denmark, to many of them and the fact that it has the old TFSI engine which meant i had already learned what i wanted about it. So the choice became the car in the title.
Rare as hell in the spec i wanted so 6 month went before i found the one i wanted in southern Germany.

Colour was a bit of a gamble but i have to say, IRL it is amazing to look at  :happy2:

























Plans so far:

REVO K04 rebuilt to TTE420 spec.
REVO TSI intake
BCS Powervalve 3" TBE
REVO BBK front brakes
Bilstein B16 PSS10 suspension

Great car with a unique look. I'm sure its turning heads.
Keep us posted with all the upgrades (small or big), as your GTI topic was a pleasure to read.

More cosmetics that you can do:
1). rear aero wiper (I have the part numbers if you are interested)
2). TT aluminium footrest/dead pedal
3). Golf MK7 "spray" nozzles (to replace the jet type)
4). OEM rear number LED lights

Thx guys,
I was just past the workshop and the TTE turbo has landed.
Intake is also in house and BCS Nige is working on the TBE  :happy2:
Anorganix what is the partnumber for the deadpedal?  :smiley:
