LED rear lights - Dectane urban style

Hoping someone has fitted these or knows someone that has.

I purchased these aftermarket LED rear lights for my ED30 the other day and they require some messing about to get these wired up.

The problem is not getting the lights to work, but actually feeding the wiring from by boot lid lights down to the main lights without having the wires exposed. If anyone has an easy way of doing this or can offer suggestions, please let me know. Otherwise I'll end up paying someone else to do it (which I don't like)

Also, noticed that the reverse light and fog lights are the opposite way around, probably as they're non UK spec. I have two options here:

1 - Can you change these around in VAGCOM
2 - I extend the wires and swap these around (a bit of messing about)

They end up looking like this once on

Please help!!

sadly not many write up's for doing this, but i can give you a push in the right direction to get the wires through into the boot

have a read of this

it will give you a few pointers on the boot lid end, here is a guide for the c pillar area, not the best but a start

you can't change them in vagcom you'd be better doing the mod in the boot area as when its mot time if the examiner notices there on different sides it will fail the MOT other than that fiddly and annoying but doable.

You need to pull the boot lid panel off and swop the wires over on the connector mate, easy enough to do but panel is a bit stiff and will need prying off with some force. Then a tester to find reverse and fog live connections if you know how too?.

Juswoo98:
Just spoke to a garage that specialise in car electrics and they said that you can't swap the fog and the reverse light around as this won't pass an MOT. Not really sure what to do now. The only option I can think would be to take the lights apart and swap the two around (white lens and red lens), but this could end up being a big job.

r5gtt:
Go and ask an mot garage mate.

I've got mine the opposite way round like yours.
