I take your point about the benefits of the 4 ch amp although I've already got a 2 ch amp so that will have to be the way forward.  I take it you are not running any rears at all then?

Just out of interest where have you housed your amp to utilize the standard speaker loom?

I have mounted my amp in the boot because I'm using the rear channel to power a subwoofer, I have just routed the speaker cable for the front channels through the car back up to behind the stereo.

I have considered moving it to under the passenger seat, but the amp I'm using at the moment won't fit under there too comfortably, so it's staying in the boot for now:
