Hang on in there Aaron, she will be worth it. Getting this bits done will make her love you back.  I spent a pretty penny on mine in the first 6 months correcting those sort of bits. Now I have a base to start the serious stuff, once the finances allow. Like you, family comes first.

I like the depth of the paint on yours, I bet she'd look stunning after a bit of poor boys black hole. Not used it myself yet, but have seen the results on a mates Cupra R. Well worth a few hours doing.

I'm hanging in there at the minute and enjoying driving it even though my alternator makes a horrible noise every now and then I think the bearings are shot  but I'm ignoring that for now and just enjoying it  yeah I've got some black hole glaze but just not had time for a full detail yet sadly but I did wash the engine bay this evening  :happy2: I've got the millers nano stuff in it now and I have to say the engine seems loads quieter I highly recommend it

Welcome to the black 5 door club Aaron! Sorry your having a few teething issues but like the other guys said stick with it as it will be worth it in the long run. Have you figured what plans you have for your GTI? Loads of builds/project threads on here to give you ideas, including mine  :happy2:

Getting through the teething issues now I've had a week with no problems  :signLOL: and I've been loving actually getting to drive it. Got lots of plans but sadly not the funds to back it up so it will be a slow project. I've got some 35mm amax lowering Spring coming which I realistically expect to be 20mm as a temp until I'm ready for coilovers which I will fit tomorrow evening at work. Then I'm going to put a Ramair oversized induction kit, remove the precat and then off down to r tech for stage 1. Once I'm at that point I want some bbs ch reps 18" and coilovers but that's all for now really apart from odd bits like seat inlays, led bulbs etc.
