Problem with G85 / clock spring after MFSW retrofit
v4rley:
Why not upload a photo of your steering colum...

Here I am again with the updated requested @v4rley :happy2:
With slip ring:
(notice this small metal piece there, I guess it is normal, right?)
After slip rinig removal... here's the weird thing: Where is my steering angle sensor???
Maybe with the other SWCM (ref BC) the steering wheel angle sensor what the slip ring itself? Honeslty couldn't find anything documented about this.
Should I buy a steering wheel angle sensor and install it? 1K0 959 654
v4rley:
Ah ok, looks like yours is built into your slip ring
RetroRaz:
I think they were built into the abs pump on later models.

So, that's what I don't understand, it doesn't "work" now. Maybe because this new SWCM needs the steering angle sensor?

My Golf is 07/2007. For sure I didn't have it before... But seems not be working on my car the G85/steering angle sensor now.
Also, I have one of the "rear wheel bearings" a little bit damaged/broken (it makes noise when driving +60kmh). There's there any ESP/ABS sensor? Could be any relation to that? Because before steering wheel swap I had no ABS /ESP Errors.
