ABS light on
« on: June 11, 2016, 11:35:39 pm »
Had a rattling noise from my OSR which turned out to be a loose back plate as it had corroded through. Decided to just remove the backplate rather than replace so I cut it off. The Abs, traction control and tyre pressure lights have all come, the code I'm getting is rear right abs wheel speed sensor, electrical malfunction in circuit. 1st thing I though was that I'd damaged the wiring while cutting off the backplate but had a look and the wiring is intact. Any help here would be much appreciated as I don't want to have to change parts that don't need changed

I had similar issues with the warning lights and the error message.

I'd suggest taking out the ABS speed sensors and giving them a good clean (there is a guide somewhere that I found very useful). That should clear the fault.

Just to warn you, I attempted to take mine out, however, they wouldn't budge and in the end they broke. I had to buy replacements from TPS, but once fitted, the lights disappeared completely.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.
