Walking Trousers waterproof/ water resistant

<< < (2/2)

Ideally i am after trousers that will repel water for at max 2 hours. I have several pairs of goretex waterproof trousers that you wear over the top , none of which have any pockets and cannot really be worn on their own. The best i can do at the moment is wearing shorts with Goretex Paclite overtrousers over the top. You can get decent water resistant Golf Trousers.

Depends on how much work you're doing.  Hiking / Running / Cycling etc. I've never found ANY waterproof decent enough in the breathing stakes and you just end up wet on the inside.
I've had Paramo / TNF / Haglofs / Arcteryx... for just walking then any GoreTex type material is OK... it will need cleaning and reproofing from time to time... had great results with NIKWAX two stage system.  I also like the Haglofs PROOF material as it doesn't rustle like GoreTex, which can be annoying if you're not wearing headphones etc.

Happy shopping! I f*cking hate shops too

Goretex is great at keeping water out but sh1t at letting moisture out . I have loads of Goretex stuff and tbh its no real difference to cheaper stuff , i'm just a bit of a Bergahus addict. Wash and reproof everything once a year with the nikwax stuff too , we have six of each of the bottles on the garage shelf all fhe time ! Venting waterproofs is the best way to let out moisture imho.

Is there a better quality packable waterproof than the Paclite version ? Thats my next purchase , on the internet , of course. I get Berghaus every fime as i know what size i am in all their products.
