iPod dock in arm rest mk5

Hey I'm new here, just got a mk5 golf
It has a iPod dock in the arm rest and I've bought a couple of cheap adopters off eBay and none work.
Just wondering what you all did with yours as I can't play music from my phone :scared:

Any help appreciated!
