Protecting your RNS 510 ?

Having just bought a MK5 GTI with the RNS510 I'm a bit disappointed that the unit doesn't have better security to discourage theft.

As a result I've been looking into potential security options & came across window security film, much like tint film but thicker & completely clear. I wondered if anyone has had this fitted or has any experience of it?

The RNS is installed in such a way that it is impossible to remove without taking the dash apart. Good for opportunistic thieves. Bad for determined ones.

Yep they aint gonna worry about taking the dash trim out carefully!! Gone in 60 seconds!  :laugh:
