Robin, i simply canibalised the OEM plastic cover, removed the centre part and siliconed it onto my painted gloss black EVOMS cover. A wire brush and a wee bitta laquer brought up the "EVOMS" lettering. Job done!!

....I think adding the centre strip really makes the EVOMS engine cover and will be attaching my overkill-mongering carbon centre strip together with its OTT blue enamelled VW badge! :P @ Jay.
In my ignorance I have to ask you what is "siliconed" fixing?
Btw, the black Monza's are a winner on Steel Grey :notworthy:

....Bloody paparazzi and journo's! They're always misquoting me. I like the EVOMS engine cover and always have. Hedge doesn't like them though IIRC.

Lol  Maybe it was my mistake about that :notworthy: Cheers Robin when i saw that the Detroits could be bought from VW as an "Extra" i simply had to have 'em.
To attach grey centre strip simply put 4 (or more) spots of silicone onto the underside of the strip and stick it to EVOMS cover. I left the two little hooks on the front of the centre piece to hook it onto the EVOMS cover, slide back and stick. I've had it on my car since June and have had no problems whatsover. The beauty about it is that if i ever do wanna put the engine back to OEM then it wont be TOO difficult to separate the grey centre piece and stick it back onto the OEM cover. :drinking:
Hope this helps. :happy2:
