Which Induction Kit?

<< < (2/2)

I'm pleased with my RamAir.

It doesn't sound like what I was expecting. It doesn't make any induction roar like you get on a naturally aspirated motor. It makes lots of sucky, hoover like noise and some good chatter when you lift off the throttle.

The instructions are rubbish, and I certainly found it awkward enough to fit!!

It makes quite a lot of noise. Not all of it is pleasant in my opinion. But above 4K rpm and on WOT it sounds epic!!

For the price of it I think you'll be happy :happy2:

Thanks for posting the link jay i was going to order one of these (and now i have!). If anyone is considering buying this from the ram air site i found code 10OFF knocks another 10% off so it ends up at £170.99  :happy2:

My standard airbox is broken in a few places (over zealous main dealers it would seem) so this should be nice and noisy upgrade

Yes, plenty noisy :happy2: Enjoy

When you have your engine cover removed just have a quick check for the health of your sensors.

My air box had obviously been on and off a bunch of times in the life of the car. I noticed that the same numptys who had broken it in a number of spots had also broken my...

...VVT Control valve - (part no. 06F109257C)
...The air intake sensor (on the front of the intake manifold)

And I've heard of others having found broken elec connections on the HPFP.

Hopefully all of yours are fine; but worth a check while you have the cover off :happy2:

Thanks, i'll make sure i check everything.

Sorry for the hijack jay.
