Anyone traveling back through France to Calais yesterday? (Delays Bank Hol)

(1/1)

Assuming anyone that was, was also severely held up like we were - interested to know why we moved around 0.5 of a mile in 2 hours?

It looked like the roadworks on the last motorway between Dunkirk and Calais had some sort of Police check-point (one Police Ford Focus with 2 cops in sat up on a kerb watching the traffic when we finally got there), but does anyone know what the reason for the traffic being held/stopped for so long, was?

It cost me an early evening Euro Tunnel and also a five guys  :fighting:  But joking aside, it meant nearly a 6 hour delay for us getting back to the UK - I expect a lot of people were the same  :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :booty:

Would love to know what it was... Never ever had that before in a 5 solid years of consistent & frequent trips!

You missed a helluvalotta' sh1t Mickey...

We left Wimbach at 11ish', passed Dunkirk around 1500hrs and then were stationary until 1715 ish
I'm desperate to know what it was - no press about it whatsoever!

I would say a few thousand people would've missed their tunnel trains/ferries, without a doubt.
