A carbon canister wouldn't give those symptoms.

Check the VCDS register for someone nearby

I'd say that "smoke" was just a hot engine in cold weather!

I thought that at first, but its not that cold out and the car was driven for 10 mins tops. I'll keep an eye on it and find someone to check it. Cheers for the help though, appreciate it.
