Even the best can fail (hopefully just very rarely) but it's good that they recognized the mistake and corrected the best they could, without too much hassle for the damaged customer. Of course they weren't supposed to charge for repairing something that they did wrong in the 1st place. But the good will showed when they offered a good replacement car, and not some 1.2 Polo or something like it. :smiley:

If a big mistake was to happen again in a future job, I'd consider changing to a different dealer/mechanic. I can forgive the odd mistake, not the systematic.

They didn't refund, but it was still a good gesture for me, and after using them for almost 4 years now and this is the first mistake, I am more than a happy customer, hopefully next time she's in for a service they'll give me another R instead of an UP!
