Auto Wipers, can i have them coded/turned off?

OK, if you disable the rain sensor, flicking the stalk up 1 notch does one wipe and that's it.  Booooooo!

Well that's crap. But hats off for having a go for us!

I'd rather use the intermittent wiper function with the variable rocker switch but it keeps being overridden by the auto sensor, is there a way to code the auto wipers off?

This functions an idiot   they work when it's barely raining and don't work when it rains or work as high speed when it's just a light speckle

No worries.  I was hopeful, but kind of suspected it wouldn't be that simple!

I can only guess the controller in the wiper motor is expecting a signal from the rain sensor, therefore I think the only way to do it would be to fit a wiper motor from a non-rain sensing car.  A 1.6 base model or something.  But I really can't see VW going to the trouble and expense of different motor modules for different cars.  They love their generic stuff!

Facian:
Ah that's unfortunate! I imagine it must be in the code somewhere else as like you say they likely wouldn't bother with a different wiper motor if they didn't even bother changing the stalk.
