Starkey's Black Stage 2+ DSG ED30
« on: January 12, 2017, 05:13:51 pm »
After months of searching for a low mileage candy white edition 30, I gave in and purchased a slightly higher mileage black one a few weeks ago. Only picture I have of the car at the moment:

Very nice low owner example with pretty much every factory extra apart from the sunroof, and lots of history!

Car is currently stage 1 APR, but other than that fairly standard apart from the VW Racing springs.

Plan to get the car stage 2+ ready for the spring, but the modding bug has already started :signLOL:

All I have at the moment but there will be plenty of updates, instagram is starkeey if you fancy giving me a follow :happy2:

black is a good colour :D

Ouch on loosing your arm! I had 10 years on bikes and managed to escape unscathed. Trackdays, communiting, touring - the works. Bought a mountain bike as a replacement and promptly shattered my collarbone which is now held together with 9 screws and a plate!

have folllowed you on instagram :D

Nice car mate! Those White ones are hard to get hold of I settled for a black one too! Atleast getting some gloss is abit easier...

Looking forward to the progress :)

Only had it on a day but testing it last night seemed decent. Not to noisy, but does make a nice noise when you open it up.

Looks & sounds a fantastic example. White is even more maintenance than black, so , IMHO you've a great car right there.

Bought my 3-dr Steel grey in 2012 on 47k, now at 80k, so not low mileage, but average for year. I'd love to mothball it, but they're too good to not be driven!

Yours looks very well - look forward to the next updates. I'm 4 years in on mine with a few improvements - VWR springs & Milltek were the first on mine.

Cheers, yeah this one is on 96k but has plenty of history to back it up so I won't have to spend out on maintenance for a while!

Was going to get coilovers for it, but tbh love the way it sits on the VWR springs - going to have a turbo back exhaust done in a few weeks instead :signLOL:

Great looking car mate and looks great in black...

Recently purchased a golf myself and have looking at the vwr springs, just wanted to ask if the car sits level with regards to not being arse end down or nose heavy?

Thanks in advance and all the best with the car.

Car sits pretty level from what I can see :happy2:

Not much to update, purchased a US spec grill which arrived with terrible paintwork so ended up getting it done again - might aswell have just had mine smoothed and painted! Here it is fitted after being repainted..

Also done your usual GTI seat inserts, interior & exterior LED lights etc.
