Sorry. I'd updated the photo. It's in my original post.

Is that the osir cover or a composite one or wrapped (which I doubt due to engine temps?)
wow that is stunning.. And as said already cleaner than clean!!

Agree, pure engine porn.

Ever thought of fitting one of these? no need for cutting, though not sure if the mounting points are the same (this is the cover on my scirocco 2.0 TSI).

hello I am  thinking of doing this to my Leon as i have a Neuspeed filter coming

i can see where the cuts are made but I am just trying to understand how its securely mounted.

are you only using 2 of the 4 moutning rubbers? if so how do you secure the rear side and stop it from rattling on top of the filter pipe?

thanks

Lee

Just installed mine again tonight. Had the TWINtake pipes ceramic coated (not that it'll help much, but i'll do the downpipe next week when the car's in the shop for the LSD & mounts). Only cost £40, so thought I'd do it.

Engine cover was dremel'ed down, paint prep'd and painted in matte black. I quite like things looking monochrome & simple. Was considering red, but thought it would be OTT. I like the whole OEM+ kind of look.

Wow that is one cexy engine bay  Have you done much photoshopping to the pic?

Epic bump, I know, but I've not been around much and had a laugh when I stumbled upon this again. Can't believe how pic quote happy people got!

This is an oldish kind of photo too, but realised I should update the thread for whatever it was worth. Was keen to do the fuel lines as braided lines too, but never got around to it.

@ illektronic:

That really looks stunning but how about posting a pic which hasn't been so heavily Photoshop'd so we can still appreciate how great it is but in real life.   :popcornsoda:

The best I have is a somewhat less cropped down but post tone-mapped version. This is prior to any colour correction or retouching .

Any FWIW, You can't have a 'real life' photo. Doesn't work anything like the human eye(s). With your background RR, you should know that!  :P

So is long exposure photography cheating too?
