Sun visor rattle
« on: May 18, 2017, 06:36:01 pm »
The drivers side visor when up appears (the plastic of the mirror) to be touching the light when closed, and then vibrates - blooming annoying.. anyone else's touch and vibrate?
The light isn't hanging out or anything either..

Never had any trouble with mine, although there's a few I've got that I'd guess aren't as easy a fix...

I'm thinking along the lines of replacing the visor with another from a scrapper/ebay? I'm pretty sure it's straightforward to remove.

You can swap rattles with me if you want - on mine the plastic height adjuster of the driver's seatbelt makes a constant click/creak. Right in my ear!

Mine does it, ive got it to sit slightly off the roof lining which has stopped the rattle  :happy2:

Ah ok... mine won't do that, just sits back on light and rattles... it's almost like the light is not in properly or lining hanging down...I may go into dealer and check a few out...

IIRC there is a TPI for this, there is a packing insert sort of thing that gets put under the vanity light to hold it in. Not sure if that particular TPI applies to your car but even so, that could be a route to explore

So is there a fix for this rattle? or is this something you just have to live with? Mines usually happens up until the car is up to operating temperature.
