Civic type R owner, looking to change

Hi there. I've had a CTR (the 01-06 shape EP3) for almost 3 years now and fancy a change. Naturally I thought of the new shape CTR (FN2) and the Japanese version (FD2) but I think I've had it with VTEC, fancy something with good grunt lower down the revs. My mate who just bought an Audi TT with the same 2.0T FSI engine says I will love it.
More comfort would be nice too. CTRs are fast but part of that is the loss of comfort, noise supression, toys etc.
I'll be testing one out on Tuesday, it's not the spec i'm after but should give me a good idea of what they're like to drive.
I'll probably test out the FN2 aswell, as the Honda garage is close to the VW garage, and I've been a Honda man for years. Secretly I hope I prefer the Golf. I'm sure you will convince me beforehand :grin:

Welcome, you'll love the Golf mate. Drive the Ed30 if you can, theyre abit faster then your old CTR.

My EP3 was modded, I won't bore with you with the details but spent around £6k in the last 2 years. Was last mapped at 233bhp with a slipping clutch. VTEC lowered to 4.5k, really shifts.
I must be getting old @32, I quite fancy cruise control.
