Forgot my wetsuit so i took my camera

After realising i left my wetsuit in work i decided to take my camera down the beach to get a few shots of my mates surfing. Ive only owned my camera for a few days so this was my first go so please dont read on expecting the work of a pro:)

Anyway

Camera - Nikon D3000
Lens - Tamron 70-300
Settings - Well alot really as i was playing with everything so if you want to know anything for a particular shot let me know and ill have a look.
Conditions - Bright windless sunny day so for alot of the time i was shooting into direct sun:(:(

All in all i really enjoyed myself (not as much as i would of surfing though)
But i have really learnt alot and towards the end i was getting to grips with my new camera and im looking forward to my next trip.:D

Sometimes as one door closes (forgetting your wetsuit) another door opens.

I'm sure that by being a surfer you recognise the actions and can capture the better moments. Keep at it.

Robin your right buy being a surfer myself i new what waves to take pics of etc and the fact that i knew who my mate surfs i new when to press the shutter button lol! Im really chuffed with my first effort ive even been asked by one guy if i can send no.6 in to him so he can publish it in his mag also my mate's board shaper wants to have it for his web site.

As much as i enjoyed taking the pics i wont be hanging up my wetsuit just yet :happy2:
