Anyone Want to Take Over the Forum?

The time has come that I need to pass the forum onto someone new.  Either that or it will get closed.  With AKS growing I just don't have the time or energy to put towards the forum.

Anyone up for the challenge?  Current costs are around £110 per month.  Daz might have a cheaper solution though.

As much as it pains me to suggest it, you could contact the guys that run a number of forums these days - Vertical Scope - http://www.verticalscope.com/automotive/

Better them than closing the site. They took over uk-mkivs.net a while back, and although it took them a while to pull their finger out, they got on top of the site issues and it runs pretty smoothly at the moment.

Can you breakdown what those costs are and what server requirements are needed to run the site?
I'm friendly with a webhost and could see about getting a better deal.

I considered it, until I saw the monthly costs  :surprised:

Is the Facebook group still up?  Doesn't seem very active last time I looked at it.  I know the TFSI Tuning Facebook group is very active, so could be an alternative?  Can't beat a forum though, and a proper keyboard and screen.  Pecking away on a smart phone screen isn't much fun.

Would be very sad to see this forum closed. Most time you Google something mk5 related it's this forum that always pops up with the answers.
