Rtec v revo
« on: May 04, 2018, 11:30:08 am »
I was was planning on taking car to Rtech for an intake decoke and their remap package is tempting me, not least of all since I already have a VIS hpfp lazing away at only 110 bar. Rtech are undoubtedly experts with some great dyno results however the current revo stage 1 (k03) feels great to drive in normal use, an aspect which I wouldn’t want to lose. Can anyone who have moved from revo to rtech mapping kindly chime in on how they find the part throttle response / driveability to feel?

Sure it's only 110 bar?  That's standard pressure iirc.

Am assuming the stage 1 map is only requesting the usual 110 bar that the standard pump is capable of delivering.

Since my original post, I have managed to get good feedback on the driveability of Rtech maps from two k04 owners.

Standard pump can do more than 109.9 bar, just depends what the N75 request is and if the pump can support it.  Some can, some can't.

Stage 2+ request is 129.9 bar.  Stock FPRV crack pressure is around that, so an RS4 valve is a good move.  That cracks at 135 bar iirc.

Stage 1 is somewhere in between.

Stock boost is 0.9 bar on the BYD K04.  1.2 bar on the CDL. Dunno what the K03 request is, but probably around the same.  197hp isn't a lot of boost.
