SteveP's New Toy

<< < (34/161) > >>

SteveP:
^^^ The ACC only adjust the damping (on the suspension side of things) IIRC, so with the factory springs it isn't great when pushing on when comparing it to my old ED30 with the coilovers and ARB's.

What the change of springs has done for me is given it the best of both worlds, in Sport it feels firmer and sharper but without being too crashy or harsh. While in comfort it soaks up the bumps much better (which is great on the motorways or rough B roads) but still with the better / sharper feel from the new springs.

The ARB's have massively reduced the body roll (especially in comfort mode) and the turn feels great. I have them set firm on the rear and soft on the front for a neutral balance.

And here are a couple of quick pictures for how she sits now: -

Exactly as you say "best of both worlds" - A bit like a more developed and more effective version of the KoniFSD system.

I see where you're coming from: A comfortable road car to do the high mileages but also 'sporty' enough to really enjoy driving harder, especially at trackdays or special German toll roads.

Now go and clean her!  :P
