With the potential complexity of the wiring, having a running car with keys has certainly helped. :happy2:

While I've been stripping down the chassis, have a look at this  :surprised:

2008 Model with 78k on the clock. I never expected the rear axle to be as rusty as this.

For comparison this is a picture of my daily MK5 TDI with 165k on the clocks.
