I can tell you tomorrow as I don’t have exact figures on individual items as such because I made my dealer do an mot, gearbox and of course a new dmf and clutch and made sure that the cost was as low as possible

However on the plus side I now have 2 years warranty on it and a big dent in my back account tomorrow :signLOL:

Gear box was £2369.95 + a surcharge of £685.29 ........ surcharge I didn’t pay as car was in dealers and they would of exchanged it.

I know there would be an extra amount for nuts and bolts that would be expected to be replaced on fitting the gearbox but I cannot break down which are which.

Wow that's a lot, fair play though, you'll know you've got a good box. I bet you can get a whole gti for that price now.

Yes I know it’s a lot and yes I suspect I could buy a whole gti for that now but it would be a seriously rough dog I think😱
As I said previously she’s my daily works bitch and I need reliability so hence my choice

Yeah I was indeed way off on the gearbox price!  Is it an 'X' (rebuilt exchange) suffix part number?

If there's one small consolation to ease the pain of the price, you will get the latest revision (with factory fitted end float shims) and steel shift forks  :happy2:
