VW premium bluetooth fitted, but bluetooth not active???
vRStu:
Exactly mate, a 729E if installed correctly, should work with a MK5 except for the Highline as you say.
I can't see how it can be anything other than the installer. I don't know who it was, I think it was a company. If the person concerned has had the unit for a year then I just can't see how it can be a 729E.
vRStu:
Did you do an Autoscan of the car?? Can you post it up?
mortygttdi:
No scan I'm afraid Stu I do usually do a full scan on every car but my netbook's battery is on its last legs and won't keep a charge so could only take a quick look at the coding,
The coding was set at 00000422, the thing I did find weird was that I couldn't get into any adaptations to see the passcode or anything it was grey'd out?
Also the coding itself could not be changed it just kept given me an error. Sounds like a faulty module?
Darren
vRStu:
422 wouldn't have been the correct coding for that module.
Any errors on CAN to perhaps indicate a broken wire/connection?
mortygttdi:
Every thing was fine no fault codes at all :sad1:
