Mk5 golf gti dsg auto flywheel replacement

Hi guys, I’m a new to the gti family. I purchase my mk5 gti last year and unfortunately I think my flywheel is on its way out. I wanted to know shall I replace the flywheel only or replace the clutchpack aswell? looking like an expensive fix found the whole clutch kit on eBay by LUK for £500 but a mechanic told me to only replace the flywheel.
