Well, after being without a Mk5 for a few years now, (though running a tuned mk4 in between) I’m pining for another one and am currently looking, hoping to pick one up this weekend if I can.  Ideally I’d like a black Edition30, but it depends if I can sell/trade in my 59 plate A4.  I’d settle for a decent standard GTI.

Any buying advice? 

I want to get a good one that’s going to last me a few years.  I’ve discounted early cars as my last one was a 2005 and suffered from the bag of spanners idle noise of the AXX engine.
