And can I slightly hijack the thread and ask what's the best way to clean the cloth centres.  My driver's one is filthy after 125k miles....

Thanks
Dave

For leather is general;
Leather Clinic Ultra Clean, followed by their Alcohol Cleaner if it's a steering wheel / gear knob / handbrake eg very dirty grabby areas, then coat it with Leather Clinic Leather Protection Cream. If not a "grabby area" then the cleaner and protector.

Cloth (Wet Vac Required) ;
Hoover the car, spray the fab over the seats and agitate with a brush, and then hoover with a wet/vac and leave to dry preferably in the sun.

If you live in the UK like myself and don't have access to the sun. Get baking soda and shake / spread it over the cloth, then leave it over night and then hoover it up.

Use autoglyn leather cleaner to clean the seats and then use autoglyn leather balm to condition them.

I use it on my leather seats and balm them 3 times a year as I live in Devon and the sun naked them.

I’ve got a rug doctor with hand tool and used some car pro clean. Here is the result on my GSI

As above, I've hired a rug doctor in the past for cloth seats. Worked a treat.

With my current leather ones I use a steam cleaner as I have one that we use in the house. Again, works a treat. I then apply autoglm leather cream.

My wet vac method, unfortunately an awful interior to show the difference.

Also remember it's not all leather, only the parts you touch when sitting are. The backs, for example, are leatherette or fake leather.

I use Saphir No.15 (Dark Grey) leather cream on the bolsters and 1001 upholstery cleaner on the seats, carpet and headliner.  Both work a treat.

Hello guys! This is a bit late, but where can you get your car cleaned (seats and everything) for a good price? I have bought a new car, and mechanical stuff is working great, the car is in a wonderful shape. The only bad thing about it is that it's filthy. I was surprised because I never saw anything like that. It's clear that the previous owner didn't care about the car being clean. I don't really have the time to clean it, and I am thinking of hiring someone from cleaningday.co.uk to clean it for me. You know someone that specializes in stuff like this?
