Edition 30
« on: June 19, 2019, 10:46:21 pm »
Hi all,
Please bear with me as I'm very very new to all this.
Was looking for some advice as I currently own a mk5 gti edition 30.
My question is do I keep the car or sell?
The car is one of a kind as it has the oettinger  body kit factory fit at VW.
Any advice would be much appreciated

Only you can really answer that question, I can tell you want to do, but may not be right for you.

Keep it if you don’t need the money.

Hi guys thank you all for your comments much appreciated. I definitely don't regret buying the car and the stage 1 remap is well worth it 325bhp at flywheel and 300bhp on the road! but my question is still the same, will the car be worthless in 5-10 years or is the market strong now? If I sold now I would be thinking of putting the money towards the golf r!

I’m going to say that they are worth it, as I own one, but you should never knock it until have tried it yourself after all it’s just someone’s opinion that your making your decision on. .
That’s all I got say live long and enjoy what you have

Hmmm, not feeling that Oettinger make over!

I agree that ED30s are a bit over-rated.  It's just some colour coding and a different engine, seats and wheels.  Not sure I would have stumped up the extra for that over a GTI when new tbh.
