Are VW CC's Worth Buying? Do They Hold Value?
« on: June 23, 2019, 10:07:39 pm »
Hi,

Before I start, I know this isn't about a Golf or Jetta, but the engine comes from the same line/model of cars, hopefully this won't be moved to another stack of threads!

I'm looking at buying a new (used) car and have been thinking about the VW CC (2014 plate).
Its the 1.8 turbo petrol version, with around 40k on the clock. Cost = £9K~

I'm in my early 30's and I've come to the decision I'd like a car with some uumph rather than 'super economical' as I'd end up just ragging it when driving up hills or out of fast moving junctions.

The question is - does the car hold its value? I've read online about the car and it turns out to be one of VW's less successful models, hence it being drawn from the production line.

Can anyone lend a hand, and maybe a few opinions, on whether this model of car would be worth buying?

P.S. I'm UK based, if that makes any difference.

Thanks!

Passat CC?

I would get a GTI personally.  CCs are big heavy barges for old biddies who can't afford a BMW 7 series.
